I love their culture. The people are very polite, the surroundings are clean (they turned their canals into koi ponds, by the way) and they actually took effort to speak English (Engrish) to me and my parents.
I told my mom I wanna go back and she agreed. We are planning to go back in Spring 2018, the cherry blossom season. I'm also thinking of bringing home a butt load of anime merch from Ikebukuro since I bought small stuff due to lack of yen, lol.

Well, if it's any consolation, their attempts to learn English in the run-up to 2020 will be facilitated by the slapstick comedy Fawlty Towers. Fits right up their street. They'll be more used to having a British, rather than American, accent because their pronunciation demands it...
